Beef Salpicao
Rich, garlicky, and perfectly buttery, Beef Salpicao is a Filipino-style stir-fry made with tender cubes of ribeye or sirloin steak, cooked quickly in a savory soy-butter sauce and topped with golden garlic bits. This flavorful dish is a crowd favorite, simple to prepare yet bold in taste and best served with warm rice or crusty bread.

Ingredients

  • (12 ounces, cut into 1-inch cubes or strips) Grass-fed Sirloin Steak
  • (To taste) Salt and pepper
  • (1 tablespoon) Soy sauce
  • (1/2 tablespoon) Oyster sauce
  • (1/2 tablespoon) Brown sugar
  • (2 tablespoons) Oil
  • (3 cloves) Garlic, minced
  • (3 tablespoons) Butter

Directions

  1. Season the Beef
Lightly season the steak pieces with salt and pepper. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, and brown sugar. Set aside.
  2. Fry the Garlic
Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook until golden brown and crisp. Remove and set aside for garnish.
  3. Sear the Beef
Turn the heat to medium-high. Add the beef cubes in a single layer and sear for about 1 minute per side, or until nicely browned. Stir-fry for another 2–3 minutes, depending on your preferred doneness.
  4. Add the Sauce
Pour in the soy-oyster mixture and let it boil briefly (about 10 seconds). Stir well to coat the beef evenly.
  5. Finish with Butter
Add the butter and stir until melted, coating the beef with a rich, glossy sauce. Sprinkle half of the fried garlic, toss once more, then transfer to a serving plate.
  6. Garnish and Serve
Top with the remaining garlic bits. Serve hot with steamed rice or toasted bread.
